Sikhs around the local area

While learning about Sikhism we learnt that there is actually a Sikh temple right next to our school!Sikhs are absolutely every where , like once a couple of them was just behind our school. And they was sitting on the floor and made a big square,  they was having a show and they entertained the the people who sat down by fighting with little sharp daggers which they always keep with them and they were also juggling it was absolutely fanomanal. [epic]

A Sikh temple is called a Gudwara and our local Gudwara is called The Harley Grove Gudwara Community.

Gudwara’s often do lots of community work. They sometimes offer langar ( a vegetarian meal prepared in the temple) to homeless people or people less fortunate than them.

If you would like to know more about our local community please visit their website. Remember we respect all religions and cultures it’s good to support each other.

Bhangra is an amazing dance that incorporates your hands, feet and brains!

We had lots of fun celebrating Vaisakhi and learning a traditional  folk dance. Can you give it a go?

Hope you enjoyed your bhangra dance class by Nuren & Butrint

PS. Please comment we’d love to listen to your personal opinions.
